How much do skateboarding lessons cost in Colorado?
Skateboard lessons across the Denver metro are $100 per hour, and one lesson can be split between up to four riders. Women's classes are $25 for an hour or $50 for two. We coach ages three to seventy-plus in 10 cities, with board tune-ups and gear advice built into every session.

01 — Pricing & programs
How much do skateboard lessons cost in Denver?
Lessons are $100 per hour for adults, kids, teens, Skater Tots and private coaching. Women's classes are $25 for one hour or $50 for two hours. Retreats and private events are quoted per group.
Can I split a lesson with friends?
Yes. Up to four people can share a single lesson and split the fee between them, which makes it the cheapest way to learn. Get a group of four together and we take $50 off a lesson block.
Do you offer lesson packages?
Yes — a 4-pack of lessons is our most common booking. Inquire for package pricing, and save $50 when you book with a group of four.
Do I need my own skateboard?
Not necessarily. We do board tune-ups, sizing recommendations and honest advice on gear that actually suits you. Sometimes there is extra equipment available, but you should plan to bring your own. If you don't have any, please let the coach know ahead of time.
Is safety gear required?
Full safety gear is recommended, but not required. We do gear-fit checks and always encourage helmets and pads, especially on ramps. Plan to bring your own; let the coach know ahead of time if you need extras.
How old do you have to be to start skateboarding?
Around three. If a child can walk confidently and follow a one-step instruction, our Skater Tots program can teach them. At the other end there's no upper limit — we regularly coach riders in their sixties and seventies.
Am I too old to learn to skateboard?
No. Adults are a large share of who we teach, and adult lessons are coached at an adult pace with plain explanations and no one waiting impatiently behind you.
Do you offer virtual skateboarding lessons?
Yes. Virtual coaching works well for technique review, board setup and progression planning — you send clips, we break them down and give you a practice plan. See the virtual coaching page for how it works.
02 — Booking & logistics
Where do lessons take place?
We coach across 10 Denver metro cities: Aurora, Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Centennial, Denver, Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Lone Tree, Parker. Each city page lists the exact parks we use and which are best for first-timers.
How do I book a lesson?
Send an inquiry through the form on this site with your name, email, phone and the program you're interested in, or email coloradoskateboardinglessons@gmail.com directly. We reply within one working day.
What should I wear to a skateboard lesson?
Flat closed-toe shoes — skate shoes or plain trainers. Comfortable clothes you can move in, and long trousers if you're nervous about falling. We bring the helmet and pads.
What happens if the weather is bad?
A wet park is genuinely dangerous for a beginner, so we move the session rather than run it. Colorado weather shifts fast — often shifting a lesson by an hour is enough.
Can a whole family learn together?
Yes, and it's one of our most popular bookings. One coach, several family members, each working at their own level, splitting a single lesson fee.
How long until I can actually skate?
Most people are pushing and turning comfortably by the end of the first hour. Confident stopping and riding park terrain usually lands around lesson three or four.
