Evan · Head Coach
Evan is a professional skateboarder with more than 30 years of riding — a world-traveled demo rider, skatepark builder, and the coach who performed the opening demo at Egypt's first skatepark.
He built Rocky Mountain Shred School because most skate instruction is aimed only at kids. Here, a 45-year-old learning to push gets the same structured coaching as a 9-year-old learning to drop in.
More about Evan
Nearly a third of our riders are adults — parents who started while waiting for their kid's lesson, women picking it up in their forties, and people who skated in the nineties and want it back.
Sessions are grouped by ability, not age, so you're always learning next to people at your level.
Zach came in unable to push. This is a few months of consistent coaching.
Every rider gets a written progression plan, so you can see exactly what's next — not just show up and hope.

"I'm 27 and Evan turned me into a confident skater in eight months. Patient, safety-first, and he pushes me exactly the right amount."
"My daughter landed her first ollie in three lessons. What sold me was how seriously they take safety and gear."
"I skated as a teenager and assumed I'd missed my window at 41. Two months in, I'm dropping in again."
"The coaches actually make my kid want to try again after falling. That's the whole thing, really."
Yes — adult beginners are one of our largest groups. Sessions are grouped by ability, so you'll be learning alongside people at your level, not surrounded by kids.
Ages 3 through 70+. Skater Tots covers the little ones, kids and teens have their own structured track, and adults have theirs.
Not necessarily. We do board tune-ups, sizing recommendations and honest advice on gear that actually suits you. Sometimes there is extra equipment available, but you should plan to bring your own. Bring water and flat closed-toe shoes.
Vetted Denver-area skateparks chosen for skill level, with indoor options when weather turns.
That's the most common starting point. The first session covers stance, pushing, stopping and falling safely.
$100 per hour for adults, kids, teens and Skater Tots. Women's classes are $25 for one hour or $50 for two. Up to four people can split a single lesson fee, and a group of four saves $50.
Book a first lesson for yourself, your kid, or both. $25 off your first package — no contracts, and all the gear you need on the day.
