Skateboarding lessons in Denver are coached by Evan, who has 30 years on a board. One lesson can be split between up to four friends. We coach ages 3 to 70+ and meet at Denver Skatepark, choosing the park that best fits your level.
Denver is where Rocky Mountain Shred School started and where most of our sessions still run. The city has more free public concrete per capita than almost anywhere in the country, which means we can match a lesson to a rider instead of forcing every beginner onto the same flat slab.
Most first-timers meet us at a park with a genuine beginner area — wide flat ground, a shallow bank, and enough room that nobody feels watched. Once you can push, turn and stop with confidence we move you toward the transition and street sections at your pace.

Sixty thousand square feet under the viaduct and one of the largest free parks in the country. Huge, busy, and best once you have board control — we use the outer flat edges for warm-ups and move to the snake run when you're ready to drop in.

We size your board and pads before anyone rolls an inch, and adjust trucks and wheels if something's fighting you. Bring your own gear if you have it; tell the coach ahead of time if you don't.
Pushing, turning or stopping — we drill one thing until it's automatic rather than touching six things badly. That's how progress actually sticks.
Every session ends with one or two things to practise on your own, so the time between lessons keeps paying off.
At 5,280 feet you'll gas out faster than you expect, and afternoon summer storms roll in fast. Denver sessions are scheduled morning or early evening from June through August, and we cap sessions at 60 minutes for new adult riders.
When it's wet, sessions move to a covered flatground location rather than getting cancelled. Concrete parks stay slick for hours after rain — we don't put beginners on them.

Denver is the one city where we run a two-park progression. You start on the quieter concrete at Aurora Skatepark and graduate to the Central Platte Valley park once pushing, turning and stopping are automatic. Riders who follow that ladder drop into their first bank about twice as fast as riders who start at the big park.
Most beginner lessons meet at Aurora Skatepark or Cornerstone in Littleton. Intermediate and advanced sessions run at Denver Skatepark, 2205 19th St, in the Central Platte Valley. You'll get the exact meeting spot and a photo of the meeting point when you book.
Honestly, no. It's large, fast and crowded. We start Denver beginners at a quieter park — usually Aurora or Cornerstone — and move them to the big park once they can push, turn and stop reliably, normally after three or four sessions.
Denver Skatepark uses paid street and lot parking near 20th and Little Raven — budget a few extra minutes. Aurora Skatepark and Cornerstone both have free lots.
Yes. Family sessions are one of the most popular things we run in Denver. One coach, two to four family members, everyone at their own level.
