Never skated before? Adult beginner skateboard lessons across Colorado and the Denver metro. Most first-timers are pushing and turning within the first hour. Lessons run across the Denver metro with Coach Evan, who has 30 years on a board, and a single lesson can be split between up to four people.
Nobody in this lesson has done this before. That's the entire point. Adult beginner sessions exist for people who have never stood on a board and would rather not learn that in front of a park full of teenagers.
We start on flat ground, away from traffic, and we do not move on until pushing and stopping feel boring. Boring is the goal. Boring is what makes a skatepark feel survivable later.
An empty stretch of concrete, no ramps, no audience. Everything for the first half hour happens at walking pace.
Beginners don't need tricks, they need reps. Push, roll, stop, repeat, until the body stops negotiating with the board.
Every first lesson ends with something that felt impossible at the start — usually a rolling turn.
Yes. We coach beginners in their thirties through their sixties every month. Adults learn more cautiously than kids but far more analytically, and that trade tends to even out fast.
$100 per hour. You can split that with up to three friends, which makes a first lesson $25 each and considerably less nerve-wracking.
Falling is part of it, so we teach falling before we teach speed. Pads and helmets are strongly encouraged, and beginner sessions stay on flat ground until control is real.
Flat closed-toe shoes, water, clothes you can move in, and your own board and safety gear when possible. Let the coach know ahead of time if you need extras.
