Most skate instruction is built for nine-year-olds. This isn't. Adult lessons are coached at an adult pace, with plain explanations of why a board does what it does and no one waiting impatiently behind you.
You can book one-on-one, or get a few friends together and learn as a group. Either way the session is yours — we build it around what you actually want out of skating, whether that's cruising the Platte trail or dropping into a bowl.

How a session runs
Before you roll
Board setup, sizing, and a quick check that your equipment suits your weight and your feet. Most people arrive on a board that's working against them.
The hour itself
Fifteen minutes of fundamentals, then straight into riding. We film short clips so you can see what your body is actually doing versus what it feels like it's doing.
What you leave with
A written progression list — the two or three things to practise before the next session, so the time between lessons still counts.
Adult Lessons questions
How much are adult skateboard lessons?
Adult lessons are $100 per hour. That covers one-on-one coaching, or a shared session with up to four friends splitting the same fee. Ask about the 4-pack and save $50 when you book with a group of four.
Am I too old to learn to skateboard?
No. We regularly coach people in their forties, fifties and sixties. Adults learn differently to kids — more cautiously, more analytically — and the coaching is built for that.
Do I need my own board?
No. We bring boards and safety gear, and we'll talk you through sizing and setup so that when you do buy one, you buy the right one.
How long until I can actually skate?
Most adults are pushing and turning comfortably by the end of the first hour. Confident stopping and riding a park usually lands somewhere around lesson three or four.
