Skateboard Lessons as a Gift: Colorado Holiday Guide
6 November 2026 · 5 min read
Are skateboard lessons a good holiday gift?
Yes — lessons give a lasting skill instead of another object. Pick the program that fits the person (kids, teens, adults or women's classes), pair it with a helmet or a properly sized board, and send an inquiry so the first session can be planned around their level and the weather.

A new skateboard under the tree is exciting for about a day. A board plus someone to show you how to actually ride it is the gift that sticks. Lessons turn a nervous first push into real confidence — for kids, teens, and plenty of parents who always wanted to learn.
Match the gift to the person
- Young kids: short, playful sessions focused on balance and safe falling
- Teens: progression toward the park, ramps and their first tricks
- Adult beginners: patient, judgement-free coaching from the very first push
- Women's Class Sessions: a welcoming group setting to learn alongside others
- Parent and child: learn together — one of the most popular ways to start
What to pair with lessons
A helmet that fits is the best add-on. If you're buying a board, wait for sizing advice — the wrong deck width or wheels makes learning harder. Coach Evan is happy to give honest gear recommendations before you buy.
How to give it
Send an inquiry with who the lessons are for, their age and experience, and the area you're in. We'll reply within 24–48 hours with options. Then write it on a card, wrap a helmet, and let them pick the first date.
Winter-friendly timing
Lessons can start on dry winter days or be saved for spring. Either way, the person you gift it to gets a coach with 30 years on a board and a plan built around their level.
